I also posted this on GD Firearm section but thought this may be a better place for it. Okay, let me see if I got this straight. For a rifle to be of legal length it must have an OAL of 26".....right? And with a 16" barrel an AR15 is over 26" measured from crown to the back of the lower receiver. So if I have a post ban AR and a 4-position collaspable stock can I permanently fix the stock in any position I want? For example: I want to permanently lock the collaspable stock in the second position. Is this legal?? And does the legalities on this issue vary depending on what state I live in? Thanks Sgtar15

Thanks Troy, I already read that post and that is what got me thinking about all of this. So basically I have to be 30" OAL and have the {added)tube extend all the way to the rear of the collaspable stock regardless of were I pin it at...........correct? Sgtar15
