I've had this TV for 18 months and have been very pleased with it.

Yesterday after running it for many hrs. non stop  it turned itself off and I noticed the area pictured was very warm.

Any thoughts?  It's been working fine since...

Are they designed to cut off when they become too hot?

Thanks for your input. It's greatly appreciated.

Never mind.  I've figured it out.

The TV has an eco setting that turns it off after four hours of no input activity -  like changing channels, or adjusting the volume.
