Stupid question disclaimer!
I've done a million of them (military and police academy) and was wondering what % of bodyweight is actually pressed when doing a correct, standard push up?  Any way to accurately calculate or would it be just a best guess?
Thanks

How about assuming the position with your hands on the bathroom scale?

Thanks Bob, I thought about that...and was wondering if there was a reason why that wouldn't be accurate or if I was missing something.

If you're looking to compare the calculated value to weight lifted using traditional barbell/dumbbell exercises, you should subtract the weight of bodyparts used to complete each pushup (arms, pectorals, front delts, lats).
