So I guess i'm a little late on this ,but I just saw the movie for the 1st time. I thought It was better that the other one. I give it a 9/10. Your turn....................

I think it was ok. Definitely not 9/10 IMO but watchable. I think the actor in the newest one makes the best Frank Castle but the movie was largely generic feeling.

It was ok. Rented it on pay-per-view one night. I like the first one more than this one.

I loved the wide variety of weapons in War Zone. Just about every modern small army you can think of gets some screen time.

However, War Zone took characters from the recent Max series and changed their storylines. The movie would have been much better served with a script pulled directly from one of the six-issue Max runs (such as The Slavers or Kitchen Irish). As it was there were too many characters introduced, leading to a jumbled and chaotic script. Jigsaw should have been left out entirely.

There were also a few absolutely ludicrous moments that should never have left the cutting room floor, such as the swinging-from-the-chandeliers gunfight, and the heat-seeking-grenade killing the parkour guy.

If you liked the movie the Max series features all the characters but they get more than bit parts. Oh and the story makes a lot more sense.

I liked the second Punisher (that's right, the second one, anyone remember the turd they made in the '80s with Dolph Lundgren as Frank Castle?) better than War Zone. To be honest I didn't even finish watching it. Just a little too far from the original canon for me since I grew up with Punisher through the 80's and early 90's. Hanging upside down and spinning around from the chandelier was just too much for me. The sidewinder missile into the stupid street acrobat was worse than that.

I don't read the Max Punisher series (or really any comics anymore with a few exceptions). Does the Max series have Castle living in an abandoned subway tunnel? One of the resons I liked the Punisher series in the 80's/90's was the idea of him having a bunch of flop houses all over the city that were stocked with equipment and provisions so no matter where he was if he needed a place to stay he could find one. It also made him hard to find.

Anyway, I'd give Punisher Warzone for a lot of different reasons 2/10 stars. Just not for me.

Im just going to say it....I like the 80's one best.
Its that M60 in the Casino part that gets me.
I did like the Punisher character in the recent one but the rest of the movie was barely mediocre.
I can’t say I would ever even recommend it.

Just watched it again today. Not the greatest story, but i have heard the stroyline is very close to the comic.
But man did I love the gun porn and violence. Truely epic in that sense.

Punisher: Warzone was watchable, but there were several face palm moments of liberal social commentary that didn't belong in an action film. They detracted from enjoying it.

The "gun show season" comment, the recruiting campaign speech, etc.

Well, you get to see "Newman" die anyway.

Personally, I thought it was a waste of time.

Definitely a cheesy movie, but I still enjoyed it for some reason. Must be the gun porn and violence.
