They should either
-ban the marines from the area, see how much they like losing the money the marines are spending on dinner, drink, movies, shopping etc.
-or-since that isn't fair to the marines, let 'em carry whatever personal weapons they want (I know they won't allow that but...)

Lock and load.  This Vieques thing has been trumped up by the boricua folks to the point that even our own Congressional representatives are saying US OUT OF PR.  Having had my flag torn down from my porch on "Puerto Rican 'Independence' Day," I may be a little biased.  Actually, I just have seen this anti-American crap up close and personal too many times to NOT be biased.  They want the benefits, but want to be commies and "independent."

This crap has got to stop.  And I suggest that next time a mob "demonstrates" by climbing over a fence at Roosevelt Roads, etc., the MPs open fire.  Even if it is Rep. Guitterez from Chicago doing the climbing.  Traitorous bastage.

Why do we so often  give a "knee jerk" response before we thoroughly THINK on an issue?

When we found a traitor who spied on us and lived in Arlington (FBI counterespionage agent, of all things!),do you want to put everyone from Virginia in jail? Are all Navy people scum because we have had a few spies among them(eg Polton and others)?
HELL NO!

We complain bitterly when someone commits a crime with a firearm and all gun owners are painted with the broad brush!

I lived in Puerto Rico for 8 years and KNOW for a fact that the independence movement does not pull in 5% of the votes on election days.
Assume there are others(10%?) that feel they want to be independent from the USA but don't vote that way (because convenience comes before their ideals or any other reason)and we are talking about a minority.

So pleeeeeease, don't assume that because some asshole took down your flag(no offense to you Ken) or attacks the US Capitol armed and with the intention of killing our representatives (yes, it happened in the late 40's)the majority of PR's agree with them.

The mob that attacked OUR Marines should be batten the same way(if I could have it my way)and I would be leading the retribution party!
If I could, I would hunt the MF's down and teach them what you get when you cowardly attack members of our Armed Forces.
But that is pie in the sky; and I am just blowing smoke out of my arse!

We all know that,when and if,the police find the people who did this they will be presumed innocent,tried and sentenced(if found guilty).....just like FBI agent Hanson!
