Am I the only one that sees that and keeps thinking, " 2 hands!"?
|
|
meh, should have brought more gun, unless getting charged was his goal.
|
|
I have never hunted boar but it looks to me like his charge was more of a jog.
Still dangerous i am sure but not a puckerd butthole moment |
|
Why not kill it with the rifle at a respectable distance? Dumbass.

In before the inevitable shrieks and hysterics over the death of a "magnificent creature."

Gustine, CA - Wild boar shot from 200 yards with hp Rifle but survives, and charges. Shot with Colt Combat Elite .45 APC. |

After the side flop...Exactly what my dog looks like when she's napping.

That boar makes a damn good case for carrying a double-stack sidearm.

Nine Shots and still not dead. Although you cannot count the one to the rear leg. I am a Northerner so know nothing about Hog Hunting so I am wondering if he brought enough gun to the hunt or if he was just a bad shot or if Hogs are just that tough.

Shot with Colt Combat Elite .45 APC. maybe hunter couldnt get another shot with the rifle before the boar was right up on him There's lots of things we don't know. Bottom line for me––a boar died and the shooter didn't get hurt. That's always a good thing. ![]() |

But my point was: did he bring one round for his rifle? Why not a follow up shot to finish it. |

Or––you're not a hunter and think things die by just falling over and lying still, as in the movies. That hog was dead before the last two shots were fired. The thrashing is normal for a brain shot––for all animals––whenever the base of the brain isn't hit. Still dead though. |

That looks interesting. Goes to show you that your ccw handgun absolutely sucks at stopping a man. That boar weighed 50-75 pounds and needed a headshot or two to take it down.

My buddy took a 247lb sow with a single shot from a 1911. Perfect heart shot. I used a 30-30 and felt safer!

Cranial shots are extremely tough on boars. Their skulls are very thick and a high angle shot has a great potential to deflect. I would have been screaming like a girl waving my arms around probably.

You need to pratice your shot placement.
Not a real smart hobby, as one day your like to find a bigger one that runs a little faster. But hey points for not shooting yourself. |
