I find it hard to celebrate the Senate finally having the decency to do their bloody job.

How bad is it that we now feel like throwing a party just because a judge got a vote from the Senate?

If we ever had a real victory we would probably all die from shock.

Later, Baby, later.

Which is stupid.

The Senate Republicans should immediately put ALL of the nominees up for a vote to 'test' the agreement thoroughly!

He's a good guy. solid RKBA person. Did a good job as the AG here.

The Repubs should keep their finger on the nuclear option.  The moment the Dems try to filibuster, nuke'em.

Disarmed only until the Dems try to filibuster.  It's tit-for-tat.  Filibuster and the agreement is off.

Disarmed only until the Dems try to filibuster when the dems don't say it's an extrodinary case.  It's tit-for-tat.  Filibuster when the dems don't say it's an extrodinary case and the agreement is off will be argued about some more.

Fixed that up for you.

Maybe, maybe not.  When the Dems filibuster (which we all know they will), the so called "moderate Republicans" will be holding an agreement that isn't worth the paper it's written on.  The only hope they have to save face is to immediately fall in line with the rest of the Republicans and enforce the nuclear option.

Like I said, tit-for-tat.

Why does verything have to be so fucking complicated for them. All this attention only to have a confirmation. WTF?

All of them should be adult enough to either vote yes or no. This entire event has been a display of non-productive politics at its finest.

These "adults" should be ashamed of them selves, as far as I am concerned. They are like spoiled kids that the more they get the more they want.

As we would be if Frist voted yes on a gun control bill.

We should all write a letter to our Senators and thank them for finally voting "up or down" these nominees.  How would they like it we took over the voting precincts and held the ballot boxes hostage during a general election?  They were simply holding the nominations hostage to the will of the minority, nothing more, nothing less and it's not without some irony that judges on the Supreme Court eventually have to vote and 5-4 wins the day.  I guess Senators don't believe it's good enough for them.
