I own 20 acres in SC.  I want to have a basement poured with 8 foot ceilings.  What would an average price be?

excavation is done?
distance from ready-mix plant?
is access to pour location easy/medium/difficult/scary?
basement will be footers with block (CMU) walls, or completely poured foundation?
interior floating slab over 6" aggregate?
drainage prep work needed (french drains outside/inside)?

you are going to need interior piers -- not sitting on the slab but down to a footer.

All I have done so far is well and septic.  Access is a gravel road that is easily accessable. I want a poured foundation.  I'm not in a flood plain.  Basically, other than well and septic, ineed everything.

For a budget....

Around here we budget $250 per lft.  That generally covers the footing excavation, the footing pour and a 9 ft tall x 1 ft thick wall.  All rebar would be included, including uprights and a #4 rebar grid on 16 inch centers.   Price can vary based on the number of corners, footing steps and soil conditions including back fill.  After the structural engineer specs the details we get a fixed price from a wall contractor before final pricing for the client.  This budget number excludes clearing and establishing the building pad.

A nine foot tall wall plus a 12 inch thick footing should give you a eight foot ceiling assuming the building code in your area requires the footing to be 2ft below the finish grade.  If you need duct work or plumbing to run beneath the floor joist you'll probably want the walls taller than 9 ft..

Four inch thick slabs run about $4.00 sqft, placed and finished.  Prep and base material would be extra.

You may want to try calling some wall contractors in the area and explain what you're trying to do.  Remember when talking to a wall contractor, they speak about wall heights from the top of the footing, not above the interior slab..
