Is she really going out with him?

Who knew Joe Jackson would prove to be so prophetic in 1978.

Something going wrong around here.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about. Just flipping past Mtv (rap thugs with hot chicks) with this CD playing in the background. Was quite the comical effect.

Is She Really Going Out With Him?
   ( Joe Jackson )

Pretty women out walking with gorillas down my street
From my window I'm staring while my coffee grows cold
   Look over there! (Where?)
There's a lady that I used to know
She's married now, or engaged, or something, so I am told

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here

Tonight's the night when I go to all the parties down my street
I wash my hair and I kid myself I look real smooth
   Look over there! (Where?)
Here comes Jeanie with her new boyfriend
They say that looks don't count for much
If so, there goes your proof

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me,
There's something going wrong around here

   But if looks could kill
There's a man there who's marked down as dead
   Cause I've had my fill
Listen you, take your hands off her head
I get so mean around this scene

Is she really going out with him?
Is she really gonna take him home tonight?
Is she really going out with him?
'Cause if my eyes don't deceive me
There's something going wrong around here

   Around here..
   Something going wrong around here
   Something going wrong around here
   Something going wrong

Tailored suits, chauffered cars
Fine hotels and big cigars
Up for grabs, up for a price
Where the red hot girls keep on dancing through the night
The claim is on you
The sights are on me
So what do you do
That's guaranteed
Hey little girl, you want it all
The furs, the diamonds, the painting on the wall

Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk
Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk

A French maid, foreign chef
A big house with king size bed
You've had enough, you ship them out
The dollar's up - down, you'd better buy the pound
The claim is on you
The sights are on me
So what do you do
That's guaranteed
Hey little girl, you broke the laws
You hustle, you deal, you steal from us all

Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk
Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk
Moneytalks, yeah, yeah

Money talks, B.S. walks
Money talks, come on, come on

Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk
Come on, come on, love me for the money
Come on, come on, listen to the moneytalk

Moneytalks, moneytalk, talk, talk
Hear it talk

Yeah, yeah, yeah Moneytalks

Yeah, it could be considered overtly racist, even though it was a joke, but so was the video I was watching.

When my comments become worse than some of the blatant racism that I grew up listening to let me know.

The main differnece is a lot of those guys weren't joking. So I don't care if I make fun of them.

I was thinking of the time a while back when I was in Las Vegas during the UFC.  The fight was being held the same hotel I was at.

It looked like every stripper/escort and their 300 lb bouncer boyfriend attended the fight....

I had that song playing less than 10 minutes ago on my CD/Mp3 deck.

+1

Great song.....I have his first two albums out in the shed somewhere.

They sound great on my 220W Sansui G-22000 and JBL-L65's!

I remember this tune encapsulating my grief at seeing hotties going out with some wicked do0fUse$s.

Ahh, the Eighties!

"You there,
Stepping ow-ouuut!
Into the night, in to the light,
You there, stepping ow-ouuut"
