Super easy to know why... Sample sources. If they contact primarily from liberal bastions, say New York City, Boston and DC, even if they self identify as independent, or republican they are going to have a typically more liberal view than say a Military base in Texas.

The majority of people aren't ARFCOM folks. They have no clue what the hell is going on and live in ignorance basically consumed by their day-to-day lives. Only about 25% of this nation are what I would call Patriots with maybe another 25% who like to "feel" Patriotic from time-to-time. The economy is a matter of them simply cooking the books. Most people don't understand the unemployment numbers or even how many different numbers there are that you need to look at. I usually just steer people to the labor participation rate and ask them how it can be that bad if the economy is really doing well.

The facts show that the US economy is booming and the overall opinion of Americans is becoming more and more optimistic about the future. The unemployment is at pre-2008 crash levels, and then you have Obama doing things like normalizing relations with Cuba and other popularity contest moves.

I thought the polls were BS when they said he was in the low 40s....Everyone knows he gets 47% approval by default.
