uhhhhh..... Dude if you need viagra to ease your pain you need to see a doctor. Really its for anti-biotics like CIPRO and AMOXICILLIN and for others like that anti-acid stuff that i cannot afford here, [red]and also for the Anti-depressants I need to treat some anxiety, but I want to keep the info off the books for my LEO background check.[/red]

Nice policy. Might as well say "How can I keep the Depertment from finding out I killed that whore that used to work for me before I became a cop 'cause she didn't give me my cut."

So you think treating depression is equivalent to murder?
The fact is that Americans look at depression as some sort of character flaw or shortcoming. But if you do anything to help yourself like go on AD's or see a therapist, it precludes some choices in employment that call for security background checks.
So it's a kind of catch-22: to avoid lying on your application, you have to leave depression untreated. You might get your job, but then you suffer from the malady that would have disqualified you in the first place.
Do something to treat it, and kiss any hopes of being a cop, soldier, or any security-related field goodbye because they'll find out when they check your health records.
azcopwannabe's solution makes a lot of sense then, because he's trwating his depression while remaining a viable candidate.
