How does this work? I know people who do it but I WILL NOT ask them cause once they know I know they will want me to pick up a 500 bottle of Vicoden for them every time and I will not contribute to an addiction.... so tell me guys. I just want viagra and anti-biotics for my BOB.

Go to the border town, find a pharmacia.  Go in and ask for the drugs you want.  You may not even need a prescription for "Viagra".

If you do, ask the clerk if they have a doctor they can recommend for a consultation. Go to the doctor, ask him if he can help you with the chronic pain you've been suffering from.  He'll write a scrip and charge $20 or so.  Go back to the pharmacy, get your "Viagra".

The customs shouldn't hassle you if you have personal quantities and a scrip for your "Viagra"

uhhhhh..... Dude if you need viagra to ease your pain you need to see a doctor. Really its for anti-biotics like CIPRO and AMOXICILLIN and for others like that anti-acid stuff that i cannot afford here, and also for the Anti-depressants I need to treat some anxiety, but I want to keep the info off the books for my LEO background check.

That's a good idea getting antidepressants from Mexico to avoid background checks!

And I was being coy about suggesting getting a scrip for "viagra" for pain.  Thought you'd be more leery asking for advice on how to score narcotics than anti-impotence pills, but I guess you were being up-front.

BTW the viagra is to help ME repopulate the world after TSHTF. It is good to KNOW how to purchase OPIATES, just in case of gunshot wounds or imaginary back pain.

Azcopwannabee, All kidding aside. I will likely start going south for some of my meds. I had a virulent infection last year and was given a prescription for an antibiotic that was not on my insurers list and bingo $ 195.00; I’m sure I could have gotten the same prescription in Mexico for $ 50.00 or less

Next time I will ask my doctor to renew all my prescriptions and my wife’s and kids too and we will stock up and save $ 400-500.00.

If you go across the Rio Grande from Texas to any major Mexican city, as soon as you step onto Mexican soil ther will be people there to help you find what you want.  You can buy a prescription for about twenty dollars and usually you can get the drugs from the doctor's office.  Some pharmacists will just give you a prescription with your purchase.  There are limits on how much you can bring back.  Of course it only cost a buck or so to go back across the border and start over.  You might see something that makes you want a double dose of Viagra while you are there.  The people are really pretty nice.  Spend a little time and enjow the place.

Becareful! The popular high value high profit stuff are usually fakes in Mexico!

Being in San Diego, I get a skin ointment, 0.05 Clobestasl Propionate, for my funky skin (I have a couple of topical skin problems) and you have to watch exactly what they are giving you. They'll try to swap with other ointments so they can dump old or low strength stuff that is really non-prescription.

It's always Buyer Beware, but in Mexico is always extra Buyer Beware!

Just a warning from someone who often sees the repercussions of mexican drugs.  Although the FDA pricing and some insurance problems with drug pricing is legitimate.  If you really think that a pharmacy that will GIVE you potentially dangerous drugs OTC without a prescription is above handing you fakes, you are up in the night.  Be very careful I would hate to see a brother from this site get hurt by the illegitimacy of the mexican pharmocopeia.  take care

Our family makes an annual pilgrimage to Mexico to get antibiotics, etc.  We save SO MUCH MONEY AND BS WITH DOCTORS AND PHARMACIES I won't do it any other way.  Sometimes it's just Miz Arock, her sister and mother and they buy for all the families.  They take US prescriptions and get what else they need there.  Do it all in one trip.  No problems ever and we've done it for years.  Probably saved $20,000+ in doctor's visits and local medication prices, not to mention the time saved.  Real Mexican vanilla to cook with too.

Nice policy. Might as well say "How can I keep the Depertment from finding out I killed that whore that used to work for me before I became a cop 'cause she didn't give me my cut."

Yo, Toe...  I threw that last part in for fun, but we use Mexican vanilla all the time.  My take on those stories is they're urban legends fostered by folks like Adam's Extract and the company at your link, The Vanilla Company, who sell the same product on the American market at incredibly inflated prices.  I think our last quart cost $1.50 and it's MUCH STRONGER and better tasting than what's for sale at the local grocery or natural foods store.

So you think treating depression is equivalent to murder?

The fact is that Americans look at depression as some sort of character flaw or shortcoming.  But if you do anything to help yourself like go on AD's or see a therapist, it precludes some choices in employment that call for security background checks.

So it's a kind of catch-22: to avoid lying on your application, you have to leave depression untreated.  You might get your job, but then you suffer from the malady that would have disqualified you in the first place.

Do something to treat it, and kiss any hopes of being a cop, soldier, or any security-related field goodbye because they'll find out when they check your health records.

azcopwannabe's solution makes a lot of sense then, because he's trwating his depression while remaining a viable candidate.

Do you realize you're going to be asked questions regarding things like this on your polygraph?

Doesn't being on medication for mental illness prevent you from being able to own firearms? Or is it just when you are committed to treatment? Where could I find out more about this?

You can get many Rx drugs online.

Around here dopers go to Mexico to get Oxycontin, Vicodin, and Bezodiazapiene class anti-anziety tranquilizers.

Think drunk drivers are bad? Check out someone who has washed a few Lorazepams down with a beer sometime!

I think that lying on his background check is a bad start to his career. The example I gave was an EXAMPLE. Someone could say "Well, if I never admit I murdered someone, I can be a cop." I don't think he killed a whore working for him.

If you are opposed to the policies (which violate ADA) then lobby to have the policies changed. Or he can file an appeal based on ADA, if he tells the truth and gets refused.....
