A good friend had a double lung transplant last night as a last ditch chance to save him from a rare genetic disorder.

Please send healing and prayers for his newly transplanted lungs to dry out, as he is getting pulmonary edema, (fluid), in them post transplant.

He is, for the first time in years, at 100% oxygen saturation, but we need those lungs to dry out.

His name is Kenny, and he is in Denver.

Added 11/02/04:
Well all the prayers and good thoughts worked.
But get this...the doctors forgot a fucking SPONGE behind his heart.
They finally found it on a CAT scan today, and he is back in OR as I type.
They have to recrack his chest to get it out.
And he was doing so WELL!
He had most of the tubes out, was out of ICU, and had walked 40' yesterday.
PLEASE, please, people, I know this is a bad night to distract you, but we need more prayers and good energy.

Thanks very much.

He is being kept in a medical coma at the moment, but the next few days will be critical.

He has a wife and a teen daughter, and has a lot to live for.
This is the fight of his life.

He was a paramedic for years, and deserves a medical miracle, as he saved many when he was on the job.

I will post more as I hear it.
