Anyone ever have a problem with their postal carrier? It's not a big deal, but whenever I get a package that's bigger than my mailbox, it USED to get taken to my front door, along with all the other mail. He'd ring the bell, and if I wasn't there, he'd bundle it in a rubber band, and leave it by the front door.
NOW, he's been replaced by some other guy. This gentleman is deaf, I think. He never talks, and only gestures at me (even when I go meet him at the mailbox) My problem with him, is that when I get a large package (Priority mail box, or something else that won't fit in the mailbox), he just tosses it on top of the mailbox, and leaves it there. Now, my mailbox is up a hill from my house, so I can't really see it from the front door. Something just sitting out there is prime material to get ripped off.
I know it's summertime (100+ degrees here in TX), and I hate getting out of MY car whenever I don't need to. However, this is this guy's JOB. So I called and complained about it, saying that I don't have any OTHER problems with the guy, just the package thing. (Example, today I had a box that was just a tiny bit too big, so he balanced it on the mailbox door, and secured it with a rubber band.)
Anybody ever complain to their post office about their mail carrier, and get any backlash? I don't really expect any, except maybe the guy not liking me, but you never know. Thanks.
