This thread http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1069012&page=1 Got me to post this.

When I was 13 I was driving down the road with my Grandparents and saw the truck on the side of the road and made the comment that I would like to have one some day. They called me later that night and told me they bought it for me to have when I turned 16. I learned to drive on it worn out gear box and oil soaked clutch and all. My dad and I started doing real work to it when I turned 16 and finished it when I was about 21. Its won its class in just about every truck and car show around here. It still runs great but is not a driver any longer other in and out of the car trailer for shows.

55 Chevy series 2
283 Small Block
350 Automatic tranny (Yes it has a LONG shifter on it to keep a little of the original look to it.
Holly 650 Double pumper
and a bunch of chrome bolt on goodies.
36" Trumpet horn that came off a 1938 Merc ( It was the horn my grandfather had on the first new car he bought and he had saved it)
My dad and I did most of the work and was a frame off restoration.

48 Ford on left. 47 Chevy on right:

I installed a TCI Mustang II in both with power racks. The firewall holes are filled and the frame and firewall are painted.  The engine will go in this weekend.  Both trucks have 9" Ford w/ 3.50 gears, TH700r4, 350 SBC.  The one on the right took 8 months.  The one on the left will, hopefully, be running within 3 months of the start of the project.  I will bust ass to get it fired up this weekend, but I am sure there is a part or two I forgot to order.

My 1960 F350. My great grandfather owned it and used to to tow railroad ties for his company. My grandfather passed it down to me right before he died. Working on the body work and getting new rims on it. I'll probably swap out the straight six in it for a V8 eventually.

How about a vid of my toy:

2000 Trans Am WS6

Fully forged 370ci 460hp at the rear wheels.  All built and tuned by me over the last couple of years.  The neighbors have complained that it shakes the glass in their houses when I start her up.  I wanted to build a car that run's in the 11's in the 1/4 NA and still have A/C and get 20mpg + on the highway.

Daily driver 65 Impala Super Sport, 350, TH350

62 C10 Stovebolt 6, three on the tree, another driver, Having so much fun driving it that I don't want to tie it up for extensive work.
But the old stovebolt burns so much oil that I will have to finish the 327 and the Saginaw 4 speed and drop it in

Here is the next project in line.  It is a rarity that I buy one that moves under its own power.  This one has a 350 sbc, th350 and vdo gauges and power steering.  I replaced the tie rod ends and it is still a driver.  It is been in the family about 2 weeks now:

Here is the 600 turbo vert I have been working on for the last couple of years. Everything on it came from a JY except the fuel pump if I'm not mistaken.

My GLH Turbo which I need to finish putting the wiring harness back in.

Here is my 89' Daytona Shelby I just picked up.

Finally, here is my rust and paint free Santa Fe Blue GLH on the day I picked it up. 2+ hours with no heat really sucked.

What the hey. Here is a pic of my 90' Shadow ES with the turbo after I installed the SRT4 IC in the front of it several years ago. This was one of the last times it looked good since it is my DD.

Managed to talk my dad into buying this car when I was 17, full running car. fairly old paint on it, but after stripping the paint off, it turns out we had an inch of body filler on both quarter panels.
That's when we made the decision to take it all apart and do a full resto. Now that I'm out of school, we got two quarters on it, about ready to prime it and set it back on the frame.
Got it in a thousand pieces, but its moving along somewhat now.
