@MochaJava Is that Colliers Mills,  Lake Success by chance?  I remember seeing a grave there but I don't recall the marked name.

This is littlerock dam is socal, in the antelope valley. My dad used to bring up here as a kid. In the 90’s the dam and recreation are was renovated.  Then in the 2000’s several unfortunate events got it closed down.  The arroyo toad was placed on the endangered species list, a sedimentary removal project went side ways.  Closed to the public but I seen videos of people hiking in to catch bass. Such a shame.  I only stayed a couple hours, took a skunk.

Thanks. I was hoping to try out the 150 grain HSTs on some hogs but I didn’t have any luck. Beautiful day nonetheless

@Hanz
Shaw's Mill Pond at Millville WMA.
We trained our DD's at Colliers Mills (NAVDHA trains there too) and did duck searches on that lake there.
*****
FWIW, in WWII, the Army Air Corps used to train P-47 pilots at the nearby Millville airfield and they dammed up a long creek and practiced their bombing runs into the resulting lake that you see a little piece of in the background.
There is a neat little P-47 museum on the airfield.

@MochaJava

Cool! P-47s are neat and were made local to where I grew up.

I trained and ran my first DD through his HZP at Colliers Mills.  Never was at Millville.  Thanks.

Just finished up a late season cow hunt.  Skunked, but still a great time.

Check out this old cow camp I found on public land.  I could have stayed in there, just a few mice to kick out.

2014, 44 inches of snow on opening day in the west end of the U.P. eh.  Even the Yoopers weren't fool hearty enough to go out. I did & as I recall I saw one track.

I was hoping to find the buck that did this.
