Society is desensitized. It takes more to get your attention. You see more on TV now than in the 60's. Look at women's mags now as cosmo? Beaver and Wally would have gone nuts over it. A woman in a short skirt is no big deal now as compared to 1900. People just peddle what is different. Wait until they make a magazine of women in clothes?

I don't know when exactly it started, but it has been in the last 5 years. Penthouse has always pushed the envelope just to see how far they could go.

Yeah I noticed the same thing when i picked up a penthouse for the first time in 5 years or so a few months ago. Just desensitization as people have said. They probably saw sales declining and did whatever marketing research and probably found out they're losing their audience to the hardcore stuff. I mean, there is playboy.. soft. And then there was Penthouse.. just a little more racier as it involved couples.... but the people who want that stuff are probably in to full blown porn. They wanna see people making babys!

Yes magazines have changed. I believe in 95-97, any magazine deemed XXX rated can now show penetration. Playboy in not in that category. However Hustler, Penthouse, OUI and such are.
I am not a Penthouse man myself. I prefer Hustler and now Hustlers Barely Legal. However certain communities in these "free" United States have chosen to ban the sale of said magazines. Like the one I live in now, Collin County and a whole bunch more. My Barely Legal subscription got canceled when I moved here from CA, cause LFB could not ship to about 75% of the zip codes in TX. [:(!] I can't buy liqour in a grocery store, or anywhere for that fact. No porn allowed in this county, but the damn sherrif will sign off on any weapon you'd like and can afford. Go figure. |

I saw a recent issue of P-house and to my astonishment, not only was there XXX, but, there was a women sticking the barrel of a revolver into her pussy. Full penitration with the barrel of a gun! Now that's about as FUCKED UP as it can get. Many young people look at Penthouse and seeing that crap is sure to screw up there values! Seeing it really pissed me off beacause we all know about gun safety, right. Our country seems to have lost it's morality as a whole. I'm not looking forward to having to explaing to my son why a girl would stick a gun in her cunt! Too bad it didn't go off during the photo shoot. That would have been a big story for the News media. Penthouse is a piece of shit rag that I wouldn't wipe my ass with! |

For them, it is a business move. They have to compete with the internet.
They have to do something to keep the interest of people who are a mouse click away from Farmsex.com, or Daddyslittlegirl.com. Hard copy rags are for gas station attendants who have no puter, or simply can't wait to get home to rub one off after pumping gas for the hottie in the Mitsubishi Eclipse.
