Poor Taste??? - AR15.COM

I just wanted to run this by you guys before I did anything.

I have a ~14" tall tabletop ad for Flexon glasses that I am thinking of selling on eBay. Before the flames start, let me point out that the ad came out about a month BEFORE 9/11. A few days after the tragedy my roomate noticed it in her store and took it down for the obvious reasons.

I was thinking that. I was shocked when I first saw it, but then told it predated the WTC tragedy and just was amazed at the coincidence...

Yeah, in light of the terrorism, it's extremely poor taste.

BUT, my glasses frames are flexon material, and if it wasn't for jets slamming into the WTC it would be a good ad.

Flexon material is amazing. I can bend and twist my glasses any which way, which would ruin other frames. It doesn't snap, goes right back to the original shape. I like to freak people out by doing it. I can literally fold my glasses in half.

Thanks guys. That is what I was leaning towards anyway (and why I didn't sell it on eBay when postcards were going for $100). It definitely makes one hell of a conversation piece though. I'm not usually too worried about being PC, there are enough out there being TOO PC that make up for it[:)]. That is why I wanted to get some opinion first. I'll hang on to it.

Why do so many people seem to have a negative reaction to it?? The building is very visibly [red]NOT[/red] one of the WTC towers. Looks more like the Empire State Building to me.
