Your poll is fucked up. There is no choice for "Yes, post apocalyptic good"

No.
The FSA multiplies at an exponential rate.
There is no hope really.

How appropriate that I ended up with the pink bar.

At the rate we're going in 10 years the US will be slightly better than Eastasia.  But chocolate rations will be up, so that will be double plus good.

10 more years of politicians without a clue how to fix anything and not even really trying at this point. Politicians are looting and raping us blind all while keeping us fighting among each other. There is no D and R anymore. it's just a matter of who wants to take us there faster.

We're done. might take at least 10 years, probably more like 20 but we're done. Finished.

Much better.
By that time Americans will spend their time sitting in a circle holding hands and singing Kumbaya.

Not necessarily for a specific group, just in a holistic sense, however you view that. Be it less poverty, richer upper class, technology more available, whatever you think factors into the improvement.

A little worse. We're slowly sliding off into mediocrity. Fuck the liberals and politicians for pushing us down the hill.

Wow... only 7% say it will be better.

It's not possible for the US to get better in its current form because:

A huge segment of citizens are dependent on some form of government entitlement.
Our media is over 95 percent liberal.
The national debt will be over 20 trillion in a few years.

There are more, but I think those are the most obvious reasons the US is doomed.

If you like socialism, paying more taxes, getting free shit from the government, having less freedom and being dependent on the government then in 10 years the USA will probably be one hell of a great place.

If you treasure personal liberty and freedom, despise socialism and the FSA, cling to your guns and religion (and high capacity magazines) then in ten years you may wonder WTF happened to what used to be the greatest country in the world, and why you didn't do something to stop what was happening before it was too late.

Like Chicago or Detroit worse. Most every place in the US.

QE-3 Ad Infinitum and QE-4 means there'll be another trillion USD in circulation (on computer) every year.

We're going to have hyper-inflation and there's no avoiding it with QE-3/4.

Until jobs return to America, we will continue on our downward plunge.   Forward!

We could always get lucky and have a major natural disaster or major terrorist attack that wipes out the liberal and FSA bastions like New York City and DC.  Then we'd have a better country like after the gangrenous limbs have been removed from someone suffering gangrene.  But it would certainly not be the full and capable nation it once was, just after someone recovering from amputation is not returned to full capability.

Would we be better?  Well, the threat of death from the disease would be over and the fever causing madness and delirium would be done with for the gangrene patient.  Would it be the same for a nation in a similar circumstance?

I  think calling a terrorist attack on  NYC and DC a good thing is a good way to get a permanent timeout from this place.

While we would have a better country if there were not so many leaches being provided for by the government, the idea that they exist only in large cities is not correct.  They are everywhere throughout this country.  While there are higher percentages of them in some areas, they survive everywhere.

The predicament we're in was foreseen centuries ago.  I quote:

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.  A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.  From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will financially collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
