I made a compilation of shootings from the US tv show Max X. Feel free to ignore the commentary. I present it to you for your edification - there are several shootings where the police officer was clearly in the right mindset, and more where they weren't.

Although two of the police officers were hit, one was hit in his vest and the other was grazed in his side. Both were able to effectively return fire.
