Impossible. Handguns are all but impossible to possess and carry in the NYC Boroughs and are otherwise tightly regulated in the state of NY.

There's no way he could have gotten a handgun and shot someone.

Obviously the fault of the infamous "Iron Pipeline" that feeds NY's otherwise perfect crimeless utopia with evil guns from PA.

Whole lot of WTF there-

Investigators say 45-year-old Carl Lastorino walked into Peter's Tire and Rims shop on Linden Boulevard just before 5 p.m. and pulled one of two guns.

He then yelled "Peter, this is for you" and opened fire, shooting a man in the shoulder before running off.

Police caught up with him a few blocks away, as he tried to get into a livery cab.

Investigators say Lastorino pointed his empty gun at the officers and said, "You're not going to take me alive."

Two officers ordered him to drop his weapon before firing one shot each, killing him

I figured the pic would be of an old single shot percussion or flintlock since he only shot one guy in the shoulder and his gun was empty.

Good shooting by the cops-one round each and DRT!!
