Well I am tremendously late chiming in from this venue, but I am sure that the super members of the board will be equally forgiving. You guys are so awesome.

Irregardless of what you say, tremendous is a useful word.

Mt tremendous problem is with the word "absolutely." Damnit, hardly anything is absolute--except for zero, vodka, and death.

"Tremendous"

This thread is phenomenal.

How about the word "space"? There are some home improvement shows where every other word outta their mouth is space. Instead of saying "livingroom", they say "living space". Really ticks me off.

Surely this thread is getting out of hand in it's mocking nature. Can we get a ruling from Pipefitter?

The word I think is overused is EXTREME. What makes something we did as kids 30 years ago an extreme sport now?

ARs are TREMENDOUS! Oh wait. Didn't some guy post a while back saying not to call post bans AR or AR style rifles because it's give them a bad name? Ooops..

Actually, that thing that makes me puke is the Brit's use of the word "brilliant." Every fvcking thing is "brilliant." Your shit, your car, your wine, your fvcking lawn mower, the ability to wipe your ass and not get any on your hand, you name it. Everything is "brilliant." What the hell is so brilliant about a steaming pile of shit?
Link Posted: 7/28/2002 12:58:10 PM EST
Well in that case a brilliant pile is better than a tremendous pile. See the difference? Super.

McUzi, I find it tremendously rude & inconsiderate of you to ask that we stop using a word that has been of tremendous importance to many. The use of the word 'tremendous' can be very beneficial in explaining what a great value something is, for example: The M16 fire control parts you have were a tremedous bargain to you, were they not? It is also a good word for emphasizing a description, such as: he's a tremendous asshole or he's a tremendously generous guy for his offer to help Balming. You should also realize that using the word tremendous is easier for some because they might not remember how to spell other words such as: monumental, prodigous, stupendous or colossal. Though I realize we have a tremendous vocabulary to choose from I feel it would be tremendously wrong to limit a word's usage just because you are tired of it. Have a tremendously stupendous day! [:)]

McUzi, you have TREMENDOUS balls to ask us not to use such a TREMENDOUSLY TREMENDOUS word like TREMENDOUS! I'm TREMENDOUSLY disappointed you.
