Her death certificate from the L.A. County Coroner revealed that May died when a blunt force injury tore her left vertebral artery, according to TMZ. The injury then cut off blood flow to her brain. |

My step mom had a series of strokes as a result of this same thing and now has enough deficit that she is permanently disabled, walks with a limp and the one side of her face droops. No more adjustments for me

never did it.
never will. a friend had some serious back injuries that were actually helped over a year with a chiropractor. I drove him to several sessions, and there was none of that neck-twisting shit. |
Wasn't there a famous ball player that cracked his neck himself and died a few years ago?
I see 1-2 patients per week who are injured by chiroquacks and/or massage therapists
No neck twisting for me.
I do like having my back popped though. |
I've been helped many times over the past 40 years by chiropractors. Deaths caused by medical malpractice by MD's is much higher than gun deaths.
I have seen a few of these through my office as well. Rare thank God, but it happens.

My dad died at the hands of a chiropractor, I had just turned 18yr old, I'm 43 now, still not over it. Massive stroke at the brain stem, died on the table in front of my mom. Worst day of my life.

View Quote I was going for a few years, and was down to a maintenance adjustment once every 2 to 3 weeks. My stress seems to end up in my neck, so while the neck-cracking always freaked me out, it was always instant bliss. I got rid of a problem customer ... )25% of my business - 95% of my headaches) a couple of years ago, and haven't been to my chiro since. |

View Quote Dayum, I went to a chiropractor for a few years. He never cracked my neck like that. He said twisting to crack was bad. |

Every year chiropractors kill people with these high velocity neck 'adjustments' which end up tearing the verterbral artery.
There's nothing "natural" about these high velocity 'adjustments'. |

The MD sure as fuck didn't tear her artery. |

A good Chiropractor is great and can really help you a lot. A bad one is going to hurt you.

If this woman's death is a tragedy and preventable, where is the your same level of care for the hundreds of thousands killed by doctors yearly? The level of quackery in the medical community is unbelievable, not to mention the epidemic of doctors who are practicing while addicted to prescription drugs and alcohol. <Crickets> |

My first lower back surgery was the result of a chiropractor's adjustment............2 weeks after he did it, I was in agony and went to therapy and 3 epidurals until they would operate.............I would never visit one again either

Also, for the most part chiropractors are doing what is more or less a sham treatment. 90% of what they do will neither help you or hurt you. So, very low risk (except for these high velocity neck manipulations).
A cardiac bypass on the other hand, might actually save your life. On the other hand, if it goes bad it might kill you. The risk of doing harm is much greater when you're doing a procedure or using a drug that isn't complete bullshit. |

Today is the first day in months I haven't had a major headache from my jacked up neck, thanks to my Chiro. I doubt he's going to kill me any quicker than I'm going to kill myself hanging upside down on my inversion table and pulling my own head out of socket.

I go to a chiro once a week, does wonders from my lower back.
Meh, my life my rules. This is a little concerning though, poor girl. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

$15 Quick back adjustment vs $60 painful massage. Easy choice.
I was a skeptic until I was laid up bad for days and someone took me to the bone cracker. Now I'm a believer. He's straightened me out a few times. Doc says nothing I can really do about L5/S1. Little material left in there. Deal with it. |

When I was in PTA school my instructor used examples like that of why you always check for contraindications before doing treatments. Complacency kills. |

MDs might as well pay a bounty for severing wrong limbs, as often as they do it.. I was two counties away when my friend got heat exhaustion cutting the grass and went to the ER where the docs rehydrated him with dextrose solution without asking questions or consulting his chart. My diabetic friend was killed DRT in the ER. There are thousands of people maimed and killed by inattention and incompetence by MDs. People killed by chiropractors aren't a fly on the MDs' pile of corpses and wrongly severed limbs.

About 900,000 practicing MDs versus about 45,000 chiropractors. Certainly the oncologists treating your cancer has more potential to do harm than your chiro, but he also has more potential to help you. |
