Any suggestions for outdoor places to shoot, public lands etc near Reno? Somewhere where it isn't unusual to have people go out and shoot?

Clocktowers, rooftops, grassy knolls. As far as shooting "around" her - what, are ya' just trying to scare her? [;)]

Palamino valley gun club/Washoe county shooting facility. Two FCSA matches per year there. If you've never attended an FCSA match, I'd strongly reccomend it. 25 miles north of Sparks. Edited to add a pic from the line on the 1000 yard range.

Carson City has a great range off of East Hwy 50. Make right at the dump and follow the signs that say range.

thedave1164: I realize that a lot of the area is open land, I'd like to know of specific spots where having people go out to shoot there isn't out of the ordinary. I'd prefer it to not be a gun club 'cause this is for plinking and stuff and ranges seem to frown upon that kin of shootin'. [>:/] Uh, why did you mention where your inlaws live? You didn't want someone shootin' up their place did ya?

Oh, Nevada. I thought you meant Janet, and I was wondering why you'd want to shoot *around* her.
