For all you pistol guys (and women) that like having a safety, do you prefer a frame-mounted safety, or a slide-mounted safety??

Frame

If God didn’t want pistols to have frame mounted safeties then he wouldn’t have told John Moses Browning to put one on the 1911.

Seriously, if an automatic pistol doesn’t have a frame mounted safety, then I don’t want it.

Frame - I like resting my thumb there for shot to shot consistency.

I don't like external safeties, which is why I own a glock

None, I'm a SIG and Glock man.
But my experience with my Beretta 92FS says "FUCK NO!!!" to slide mounted safeties.

I have guns with both (not on the same gun....smart ass).

I never gave it any thought.

You must have very large hands or disproportionately long thumbs.
I've never had luck with any slide-mounted safety. Much too slow.
I decock and disengage the safety when I shoot any pistol with them.

Any gun with a slide mounted saftey was not designed for combat. Period.
