This sounds like a good idea. That means it'll probably be surpressed.
I think it would work well and save us a lot of money in imports. One big drawback. Our garages and gas stations would smell like hog farms. For anyone that's never been around a hog farm in the summer, they are BAD. This is a joke. I am kidding.

Looks like it would take alot of pig shit to make a qt , and I cant see anyone standing behind a bunch of pigs waiting for them to take a dump,and I have also seen them eating their own shit so you will have to be fast with the scoop shovel

Are you sure that isn't the methane recapture project? There are two different ideas--one is to cover the lagoons and reclaim the methane (a la Bartertown). That project is well under way and they have been able to provide power for the entire farm and surrounding community. Turning hog waste into oil is something entirely different. The problem I see there is, how much energy does it take to do it? If it is more energy than the resulting energy in the oil that is produced, then it is a losing game. I guess they could try to use hydro or some other non-portable source of electricilty to produce the oil. See? We don't need governments making war on each other. The marketplace is magic--it has the power to turn shit into a valuable source of energy. |
