I am at a loss for words.  I'll have to let the emoticons do my talking:

Someone should wake him, he's missing the game.

Looks like Thanksgiving at my place, except we're not so tanned.

Good for him for doing it his way.

Works for me. The guy went out how he lived I guess.

I like it. It would only be better if he has a crypt with a power supply to keep that TV going for all eternity. I mean fuck it he gets high marks for creativity. He looks to dead for it to be fake.

Exactly.

Looked like he was quite a character in life - and in death.

Why are those people pointing at him?

What is it, "Lets point at the dead guy!"

Dude's  doin it right!  A fan to the end!

I agree.

To each their own.

He was obviously a devoted Steelers fan. Probably was a fun character to be around, especially on Sundays ( football season )

You have to go out your own way.  Points for sticking to your guns - regardless of what others think.

Thats alot more original  then any funeral ive been to. I imagine it would also be easier on the family to see their dead loved one doing something he enjoyed.

Here we go STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!!

~Dg84

ETA:  I don't want a viewing when i die.  Chances are that I'll get killed by a fucked up Co-Pilot and my body will be charred beyond recognition anyway.  BUT, If by some strange chance my friends and family want to look at my dead body before they put me in an incinerator THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I'D WANT THEM TO SEE ME FOR THE LAST TIME!

FUCKING AWESOME!

ETAx2:  I love it... looks like they got a game going on the TV in the background.  If this is recent, but it's last years SB.  CLASSIC.

ETAx3:  Every time I look at these pictures I see something new...  He's got the fucking remote in his hand.

I say good for him-  We buried my dad in camo's with his boots on.   He would have looked weird in a suit.

The dead man appears to have smaller ears and longer fingers.

Same sentiment here....I would seriously enjoy going out like that...except it would be the Jets...and there would be a lot of guns laying around

To each his own...I just hope he had a say in it before he passed.

When I saw the indignity of my little step sisters stuffing beanie babies all over my dad's body and in his hands at the viewing, I decided I would be cremated and skip the viewingwhen my time comes.

roy d...but hey, when you're gone, your'e gone.

i rememer hearing about this a year or two ago - but never saw the pics.

Nope - it wasnt fake - thats how the guy wanted it. Like he was just sleeping, watching the game. Make it a bit less sad than a regular funeral - i suppose.

de gustibus non disputandum est

'There's no sense arguing matters of taste'.

So long as that's what he wanted, and his family is comfortable with it, WHO CARES?

Looks like he went out in style. Me, I'd rather be cremated..

..by having my corpse stuffed with Tannerite at an ARFCOM shoot.

How much was the Taxidemist bill, and is he detachable from the chair if you need more seating?  Otherwise It would look great in my TV room.

A fellow employee use to work part time for a funeral home in Birmingham, AL a couple of  years ago. Working at an "inner city" funeral for a young twenty something male, he witnesses a fellow homeboy walk up the middle aisle slowly all the time rolling along a 23" spinner rim in the middle of the service. Gets up to the casket, parks the rim against the coffin and proceeds to place a joint inside the lapel of the deceased, and then looks to the the congregation and announces "Roll on, My Brothers". It was not a stunt, but was part of the service.

I think that's pretty cool. It would certainly put people more at ease than a brass casket.

One of my friends went to his funeral a few years ago in baseball cap, t-shirt and running shorts, because he said he came in comfortable and wanted to go out the same way.

Not sure  how I will go out....probably make an ash of myself.
