Snagged this bad boy last weekend. I really love it. I decided on the 6 because of the mpg and the overall budget. Got a great deal on it. It's the best car/truck I've ever purchased!

SUPER nice Yota!

Thanks! These things are REALLY nice. I was planning on picking up a Taco TRD, but then I saw that the new Tundras are actually about the same price. She's a beast. I had to pick my jaw up of the floor today when I dropped $57 on a tank of gas! This is coming off of owning a very affordable honda that got great MPG. But, she's worth it!

My 4-Runner will hit 100,000 miles this week...
1 wreck (front end, $5800 damage)
no tune-ups!
I change oil, fluids regularly and run fuel system cleaner through every so often to clean convenience store gas gunk out... aside from that, NO repairs (aside from the wreck) or anything!

I'm gonna keep her well maintained and hopefully it will run as well as yours! I know it's a great truck. The only problem is that it will be very hard not to take her on the long trips instead of the wife's MUCH more efficent on gas mileage car! It drives like a dream!

I am jealous, dealer here has one on display. Is it everything it's hyped up to be? 57 bucks to fill a truck tank is nuthin, try a 33 galon tank @ 2.75. I would like to know yor MPG after you get it broken in

** EDIT** just noticed you got a 6 cylinder, nevermind the MPG, enjoy

Yeah, it's supposed to be about 2-3 mpg better than the v-8. Not sure though. I know it does not seem under powered AT ALL. It hauls on the 0-60. It really is a great driving truck IMHO.

I'm proud of her for sure!

very nice looking. How much room is back there? would it be comfortable for a couple of people to ride in the back?

congrats...

Thanks, I'm 6' 2" and I have no problem sitting in the back with the front seat back where I would put it. It is very comfortable. I can't imagine how big the crew cab is!

keep us informed about it. I bought a Ridgeline in 3/05 and have 42k miles on it now. I'm looking for a fullsize and rather not go the big 3 route. I am most interested in the big crew cab version of the Tundra, only problem is I lose the bigger bed.

How do you like it?

My GF and I are thinking of picking the same model up after I get my Rubicon paid off.

It's a good truck, one of the best things about it is I just made the last payment on it

I have the 5 speed manual, SR5 and TRD package. Has all the fancy features you want: power steering, cruise control, digital odometer, white faced gauges, power windows, power mirrors, power locks, 2003 is the first year with the remote control keychain remote entry, sliding rear window, 6 speaker am/fm/cassette/cd. I got the towing package in case I ever need to tow anything.
In warmer weather I get about 18.5 mpg, in winter about 17.5, but I tend to drive fast.

I put on the official toyota accessory skid plate which is more for looks than anything, then got a matching black powder coated UWS toolbox, and had the bedliner Line-X'd.

Nice Truck, Congrats!!
Too bad the Japs never heard of a 8 ft bed

One thing I like is the extended cab doors that open like a regular door. Our Silverado has the other kind of extended cab door, it's a pain in a parking lot.

Great truck.
I am considering the 5.7L Tundra.
