Someone else here posted a picture of their new Tundra- it's a sharp truck!
So I thought I'd post my new to me old school Toyota. I bought it two weeks ago from the second owner with 82k original miles on it. Everything works and more importantly there is no rust.

Kidglock- Tell me about the manifold bolts.
And you're right IH8MUD is my new friend. I actually found this one on that site while there doing research on a different FJ I was looking at.

NICE! My friend and his wife are looking for one like that, the past couple they found down here, one had cancer, and the other was sold by the time they got a chance to go look at it. He has an old school FJ as well.

I've always liked 'em. Can't get over the prices, talk about holding value. What that run ya?

Its just something to keep an eye on with the 2F . Since the intake and ex . are using the same bolts to hold them on the block , one cools faster than the other and one heats up faster than the other causing the bolts to work loose after time . Happend on a 76 FJ 40 at 165000 and on my old 60 at 189000 .

the intake and exhaust ports are all in a row on one side of the head.
teh intake and exhaust manifolds share a few(like almost all of them) of the studs, if one or more lossen up, you'll
A. develope a nasty exhaust leak right at the head. which is hard of the exhaust valves.
and
B. develope a nasty vacuum leak right at the head, which is never good for anything.

i also have an '87(among others), that just turned over 212K.

Yes it is, well actually it's called extreme liner in this case and was sprayed using a little different ratio for the mix so it's a little smoother and harder than it normally would be.
It has been on for about 2-3 years and is in great shape. I was a little concerned at first about what it might hide but after a thorough inspection I found everything to be on the up and up. I also wasn't sure if I'd like it but it looks good and definitely serves a purpose.
