As an aside, the Confederate Air Force changed their name to the Commemorative Air Force.

In 2002.

What is the purpose of a "blog"?  From what I have seen its mainly the blatherings of someone who likes to hear themselves talk (or type) and don't really want to hear anyone else responses or views.  Am I wrong here?

I take it you are unfamiliar with the ways of Piccolo.  It's highly likely that this conversation actually happened, he's simply documenting it for posterity and the enjoyment of others.

We are talking about the guy that goes out and about with a seeing eye cat, here

Surprised he wasn't totally taken in after watching some of Dice ' s video's from the pier out in California.  Mint flavored shoes was a nice touch.

Sorry about your cat too.

Yeah, and I always thot they were utter, gutless pussies for doing so.

My father quit the CAF when they changed their name to "Commemorative" and chunked all of his stuff in the trash. I dug out his belt buckle and saved it.

Your father is a good man.  Those planes were used to fight commies and fascists, and the commies and fascists succeeded in making them change their name.  Good on him for quitting.

They did and had I been a member at the time I would have voted that they do so simply so they could survive.

There are too many crybabies out there that would have whined and blubbered and pressured the people sponsoring them to close their wallets.

Truth is, it will ALWAYS be the Confederate Air Force to us old timers that know their history.

True, but I can STILL whine and blubber about the pussification of America.

Last night I dug mine out and am seriously considering sewing it on the back of my old Navy G-1.

The one I was looking for had been sewn on the back of my jacket but the one I found was brand new. I can't figure that one out.

Two is one, and one is none

You obviously bought both
