photoshop will allow you to edit the images, but is not going to give you adequate text editing capabilities. quark is rather expensive and is probably overkill for what you need. my suggestion would be to look into adobe pagemaker and see if it will work for you. it is a very capable page layout program. adobe has a second page layout program, adobe indesign, which competes with quark and is aimed at graphic and publishing professionals. |

Actually, Photoshop 6 handels text much better now. You can do it all in version 6 since its rastering capabilities have improved. The only problem with Quark is if you don't have a printer that can rip the file and costs around $3000, your images will look like shit. Im assuming your printing from home on a epson or something. If your gonna be printing a lot of copies and sending them to a pre press printer then then get both or look into adobe indesign. I don't use indesign but thats just because its not the industy standard. If your at home on an epson like printer, not to many copies then just get photoshop 6. I've Been doing this graphic stuff for 12 years now.

Be warned, my site is slow because of the graphic content. Made for people with dsl and above. anything slower, well I just don't care... sorry
