Thought I'd toss in some photos from the local Porsche club drive through the countryside of Maryland and West Virginia. The destination was Summit Point racetrack for the Porsche Club races. Three traffic lights in 2 hours of driving....mostly twisty backroads.

The pack was primarily Porches, with a few Ferraris, BMWs, a Mini and and new Audi RS4 in the mix.

A fairly rare '93 Porsche America Roadster (I'm in line for it....):

So, when you say you were posting "some" pics, did that mean you have 'more...?' Great pics! I would have posted sooner, but I managed to wander off into a state of deep daydream when I saw the Ferraris... Thanks for the pics!

OH MY GAWD!!! More up by the time I posted! 'You're killin' me Smalls'

I have always loved that Turbo that was two cars ahead of you....

That year, model and trim just moves me. I'm not even certain what year it is, but I know it's early 90's...

The following pics will almost certainly violate some portion of the ARFCOM CoC. They may also cause great gastric distress.

View only at your own risk. You have been warned.

Not today. I was there a month ago on the Shenandoah course for a DE and one of the guys nailed a grounghog on the main straight - cracked his bumper and probably scared the heck out of him.

There were deer on the Jefferson course when I was there for a DE 4 months ago. Big herd of 10 or so crossing.

I'd off everyone on Arfcom (or try, at least ) for that car. F430 360 Challenge Stradale.

Great pics.

In that case I strongly suggest that you DO NOT view the following pics:

Nice, I am a Dallas area PCA member and try to do as many events as I can with them. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

Nice

I'm a huge fan of almost everything Ferrari, but I just can't stand the Enzo. Shrug.

I think my dream car would be a 512M, in rosso corsa, of course.

I'll look through my batch of pics - but possibly no more pics of it.... the team was kind enough to ask my daughter to sit in the No. 8 so I ended up concentrating my pics on her in the #8.

IIRC that 944 was hanging with some very fast and well-driven 911s and giving them a real run for their money.... I was a little puzzled how they were that fast. I don't know the story on the 55.

I love this car.

Would like to find on older Porsche like that.

We had a real nice 78 911 from Wisconsin show up at a thursday night cruise-in a few weeks ago.

Bokor: I checked my stash - only those two photos of the #55 Turbo... one in the pits and one on the track.

Too bad. That one is a monster. IIRC it used to have a Milledge motor in it with some very trick parts. Just wondered what's currently in it.

I miss my 1970 911E.

I will own another one before I. Just because.

Been wanting a 928s for a long time now. Still looks beautiful after all these years.

Also, kind of like the 924 now for some reason. Do those use VW engine/trany/breaks? How is maintance, I dont mind some work, just dont like $4000 transmissions.
