awhile ago, one of us getting ready to ship out for iraq was talking about ginning up some kinda helmet cam...popular mechanics (feb 06) profiled the atc-1000 action camera. at $120 it's pretty damn cheap and it's shock and splash proof. it shoots 15 frames/sec at 640x480.

ETA: i don't think it has sound...
