It's technically permanent but up to the individual bottler if they want to produce it or not.
I can't find it for shit in NC, but when I go to IN it's everywhere |

MDT has been gone for months (here, at least)... not a big Pepsi drinker so I hadn't noticed its status.

I'm noticing Mountain Dew throwback more and more locally, but not Pepsi, haven't seen it for months. Must not be a big seller here, gas stations will get some in, and it sits on the shelf until someone complains that it expired two months ago and it disappears for a couple more months(probably so Pepsi can put new caps on the bottles.
 )
I've also noticed that they seem to have changed the formula for Mountain Dew Live Wire. The last couple I have bought tasted much more acidic than usual, and just a hint of the "orange" flavoring. Almost like when a gas station fountain has too much carbonated water and not enough syrup. |

Yep, bought some Throwback at Walmart just before Christmas at WalMart and the local grocery chain carries it, too. I liked that weird tasting Pepsi Blue they had for a while!
