My Cold Steel Inferno is set to expire and was wondering what some of you carry as a non lethal deterant spray. Noticed they do not sell the CS inferno anymore, was it no good ?

Fox Five Point Three is what I keep in the vehicles and a few other places, but I don't carry spray.

My life was saved by Sabre Pepper Gel 1.8oz (LEO size)

I don't like the smaller pepper sprays (most are .5oz)

I can tell you from experience (personally and not so personally) that Defense Technology is very effective.  My wife carries it in her car and purse and I have a couple extras at the house.  It sucks shit...in a good way

Did the chloroform you used on "date night" wear off early?

I use Sabre Red or Freeze +P.

I go with DefTec, as someone who was sprayed quite a bit for less lethal quals, I can tell you it's very effective.

It'll bring a tear to your eye!

If you can stand to, try what we had to do, fight/force on force for at least a minute after being sprayed.

It'll help you keep your wits should you ever get some back blast (or get sprayed by someone else).

Fox Labs, Sabre Red, Safariland take your pick. We are issued Safariland at work so that's what I carry.

Carried Fox labs when I can carry spray.  Never conducted a full test but improvised my own little test. When it's time to do a spray test to check that the unit is in working order, rub your finger on the nozzle to get some residue and wipe that on your cheekbones near your eyes.  Next put the nozzle up to your nose and take a few deep inhales.

After about 30 seconds of that I expect you'll be quite uncomfortable.  Now magnify that times 100.  After that I never doubted that it would do what I needed it to do.

I carry Fox Labs.  I'm confident it works well based on my research.

Sabre Red is the most consistently good one out there today. I have used most of the current ones available and have sprayed well over 100 people.

How about the "bear spray"? Compared to the LE CS.

Bear spray has a lower percentage of active ingredient than, say Fox Lab.
Larger capacity is its claim.

yep we tested it work when it first came out and it SUCKSSSSSSSSSSSS but the cost vs amount in each patrol size can vs the amount of spray we were using at the time made it not cost effective and we stayed with Freeze +P
