1) Check your option

2) hover mouse button over "vote" button

3) close eyes and click

4) shut off computer without looking at screen

We all do

Perhaps we just like to amuse ourselves with all those new options.

I think people do that so that other people don't pick an option they don't know shit about just to see the results.

The majority of arfcom doesn't know you can just click vote, so it makes it much easier to ensure an accurate poll.

Somehow the polls with "results/pie" option has been annoying me.

I guess I am strange ..

Where's the "pie/results" option in your poll? I want to see the results, but have no answer or opinion!

I'm not good at cipherin', but doesn't it make for a less accurate poll? Suppose the question is "Which is better, 8mm or .43?" Suppose 5 people vote for 8mm, and 15 people vote for .43, while 20 people have no opinion or knowledge of the matter, and just click "Vote" to see the results. That would show 25% for 8mm and 75% for .43. But, if there is a third option, "Cake," that would show 12.5% for 8mm, 37.5% for .43, and 50% for Cake, which would give a skewed picture of those who actually had opinions.

In other words, it depends on what the poll is trying to find out. Do you want to know how many people have no opinion? Or do you want to know only the opinions of those who actually know something about the subject and have opinions? If you want to know how many people have no opinion, then you should offer "No opinion" as an option, or perhaps "Other" (for those who insist that the 9.8mm is the way to go).

I clicked vote without selecting an option on this poll...just for the grins

Well shit, that's the last time I leave a Pie option for the mouthbreathers..

Just one more time, since I hate seeing "results" option in polls
