Video seems to me to be trying to put a fancy new packaging on something previously referred to as stereotyping.
Yes, it's a somewhat natural function, and it's based off of things we've learned, information we've absorbed.
Like "Fire is fucking hot, it burns and hurts!" so what do we do with fire? WE DON'T FUCKING TOUCH IT. We don't even have to consciously think about things like this.
My point so far is "this type of shit has a purpose, and it's primarily survival based shit - as in, 'avoid this shit, it's dangerous'"
So when it comes to people, at least in some measures, we do have these stereotypes. If I'm walking out to my car at night in a big, dark, empty parking lot, and a guy (black, white, hispanic, doesn't really matter) in a hoodie, low slung pants and generally "thuggish" looking appearance starts approaching me, I'm going to sense danger. It's a survival instinct.
Why? Because experience and information I've received throughout my life teaches me that "if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck!"
Ignoring this shit is bad for your health... reminds me of that hippie woman that went hitchhiking through Middle Eastern countries to try to prove Muslims aren't sexist, racist, violent rapists.... Yeah, she ended up being raped and murdered. Stereotyping could have saved her life.
