I hate this cast iron. But trying it again. The "alton Brown" method. I have tried it a few times and it was lacklustre except for the amount of smoke it produced. Today, it looked like it worked well, bit was cold and quite red inside despite more time than prescribed. (i liked it like that, but my wife prefers it more cooked). http://i46.tinypic.com/24xj8ch.jpg Did you start with it at Room Temperature, or cold from the Fridge? Room Temp makes ALL the difference. |

Phamous Phood Photos. You are insufficiently creative. Yes, but crafty like a thief (as I edit, post haste) |

Did that mag come with that texture? If so, when did that start?

Room temp if not warmer (i had it out on counter for 3 hours, then put it on the range top while oven was heating. When I felt it to put it in pan and sear, it was warmish to the touch. |

Loved the sun, the hiking, the biking around the boneyard , uofa, everything! The shooting at reddington pass. No rainier though. |
