Way to go Pat. It's good to see there's one smart guy in the entertainment industry. We could certainly use more like him.

Right on Pat!!! Hillsdale is a great school. I taught there for a couple years. Very conservative (that explains the high quality education). Very rich. Several years ago they were embroiled in a lawsuit with Uncle Sam over financial aid practices. Apparently, Uncle Sam was telling them that they had to abide by their rules. They didn't though because none of their students received federal aid, it was all private aid. Well, they won and ever since then, big companies (the alum list there is a who's who in business etc.)have been giving them congratulatory checks.... Right on. Later, R

[shock] I'm stunned; speechless. I never knew hew was one of us.

That was surprising and impressive. It does not mean he's pro-gun, but it does mean the guy can think, and has been. Go, Pat!

I have a new found respect for Pat Sajak. Regardless of what his beliefs on guns are, I know he at least believes in thinking, which is a rare quality in Hollywood. Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

Wow.

Sounds like an intelligent man. I'm impressed.

I would rather have a group of 10,000 that can think running this country, than a group of 10,000,000 that are pro-gun running it.

Anybody take the time to read the speech that appears below Pat's, by Mark Helprin? Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

Pat Sajak was the weatherman for Channel 4 here in Nashville for years. No wonder he has some sense. >gg<

He said different things than I would have expected him to say. I just wonder how many more high profile people there are out there though that have similar views, but refuse to go public with them. If just a few of them would open their mouths half as many times as the liberals do, things would be better in this country.

I may be wrong here but hasn't Pat Sajak hosted the Rush Limbaugh show. At least once some years ago??? I can't remember , but I think that is right?? Ben

You have it backwards. Rush Limbaugh hosted the Pat Sajak show (a short-lived competitor to Johnny Carson) in 1990. The audience turned hostile on Rush and had to be cleared out at an emergency commercial break.

Oh ok, thanks Jim... Hahah apparently the audience had no idea about Pat Sajak either. Ben

Limbaugh's debut as a television host was not auspicious. It came in the waning days of "The Pat Sajak Show," CBS's pre-Letterman attempt at a late- night franchise. Various people were guest-hosting in Sajak's place, auditioning for a new version of the show. Limbaugh tried out in December 1990. His hour on the air was fatally disrupted by a throng of act-up demonstrators protesting his constant resort to anti-gay remarks on his nationally syndicated radio show. The man who had once attacked homosexuality as "deadly, sickly behavior," who filed a regular "Gerbil Update," wilted before this on-air protest. "He came out full of bluster and left a very shaken man," said a CBS executive. "I had never seen a man sweat so much in my life."

I saw a story on his speach in the gossip magazine Star at the local super market. COOL! I hadn't had a chance to read this phamplet that Hillside College sends me every month, but our friend Pat is right there on the front cover. Man from now on I will look at Wheel of Fortune in a whole new light. Anyone that rails Rosie O'donut is one of us.
