There's a freeware program called "Hide Folders" that works quite well. The free version lets you have two main folders and as many sub-folders as you need. For example, one folder for "Financial Data" and another for "Vile Degenerate Smut The Civilized World Can Never Know I Have Lest I Be Shunned And Forced To Go Live On An Island Somewhere".
