And I'm kind of upset. My old 89 F-150 is no longer mine. She's gone and I feel dirty for selling her.
I listed her Tuesday and this guy called today and wanted to look at her.
He showed up with a trailer and I knew he was taking her away before I even spoke to him.
Within 20 minutes of showing up he drove it on to that trailer.
He's going to restore her he says.
I want my BFL and God Bless our Snipers sticker back.
I feel shame.

I almost cried when I sold my old Toyota truck.  I had it from the time I started driving until I was about 27.

It's a sad feeling watching them drive away.

Selling old vehicles creates quite an odd feeling.

Pics of replacement?

Being from Canada, it was probably too much truck for you anyway.

I'd miss the floor mounted bright light switch.

Yes, the dimmer switch was on the floor.

You probably won't feel it as bad being in Canuckistan and all that, but losing the triangular vent windows really sucks.

Those windows were so functional, even in the winter.
I will definately miss those.

I miss my 92 F-150. It was my first truck, good memories were had in that truck.

I remember selling my `45 Willys MB.  I felt like I had sold a child as I watched it trailor off.

Funny you mention that. I make my living selling cars and trucks. They are just iron, right ?

I really am feeling bad about letting this one go. I liked everything about it.
Except it was 2WD.

There is something comforting about having one of those.

It got to the point that I couldn't afford to put gas in it anymore. I sold it in the summer of 2009 after 3 great years with it.

Funny story, me and my buddy built a cooler to put in the tool box. We did it right. Got the dimensions, went to Home Depot and bought the supplies. Total around $30.

Built the wooden box part, stapled foam as insulation, and threw a tarp in. That thing kept 140 beers cold for a week.

Well here is the replacement. Picked it up Monday but finally had some time to clean it up a little today. The roads had been slushy all week so not worth washing it.
Mrs Dagger is digging the heated seats and I'm happy to have a 4X4 again. It's growing on me.
