Turkeys will be consumed this coming week or two. they don't get on the table by accident. :) Too funny.
|
|
I loved the one comment "The Yobamites want to eat the turkey and keep it too."
|
|
I heard about this on the radio this morning, some of the comments were pretty funny.
Didn't look anywhere near as bad as they made it out to be. |

I read one headline this orning along the lines of "Sara Palins bizarre turkey slaughter interview....." Like she was hackin their heads off and smearing their blood all over her body or some shit. |
|
So what is the funnel thing that that guy held the turkey in?
|
|
If I were president, I would kill the White House turkey with my bare hands every year and not do that pussy 'pardon' bullshit. I'd also invite the leaders and/or ambassadors of whatever shitbag countries we were having problems with at the time, and have them sitting right up front.
Diplomacy, you know? |

Okay, I know this stuff has to happen for that freshly cooked turkey to appear on my table at Thanksgiving, but there's also something to be said for appearances and decorum. I like Sarah Palin but allowing that interview to happen the way it did was incredibly stupid, and does nothing to endear herself with the public, which is what she desperately needs in order to have any chance of reentering politics in 2012.
Seriously, who in their right mind thinks it would be a good idea to do a taped interview with some stupid yahoo in the background butchering a turkey?? Like it or not politics is 95% image 5% message, and she is not helping her cause at all. |
|
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
They put the chicken choker in the shot!! Bwahahahaha PETA has got to be stroking out. I love it. |

THEY KILLED A TURKEY!!!!!!!! Are you fucking kiddin' me? This is food... and that's how we get it. Theres no reason to hide it from sight in the darkest shadows of our society. Or do you feel that milking a cow is taboo also? |

Mental Note…
When writing a new Constitution put something in there about the chief executive having to personally kill, dress, cook, and eat an animal before he can assume office. |

One word here folks: Bizzare.
Not for Gov. Palin, but how the MSM will go to no end to discredit her. Were it not for that, it almost looked like a skit from some comedy show.... |
|
Some believe that meat comes from HEB (big grocery chain here).
Would be funny to see a presidential hatchet rather than the presidential turkey pardon. This interview was designed to be ironic. |

Here is a good rubric for you to use if your logic skills are dull: If PETA and the ACLU freak the fuck out at something, its probably a really good thing. "Decorum" is bullshit. This past election was nothing but decorum peagentry and no substance. She is more billy badass than most of GD arfcom for having the BALLS to get off the couch, kill a mouse, ride an ATV to deliver food to a neighbor in need, etc. |

Like it or not politics is 95% image 5% message, and she is not helping her cause at all. I think it interesting that you are blaming Palin for the images behind her. Looking at the video...she is slightly OFF Center in the frame (not centered as you expect in an interview)...the photographer/videographer KNEW what was going on. The reporter facing her KNEW what was going on..she is facing AWAY from what is going on. She's in front of a Turkey Farm..so the noise was probably fairly constant, and a minor change from the slaughter going on behind her wasn't likely to make in impression. My Guess is that the reporter and cameraman decided the let it roll to make her look bad instead of doing some legitimate JOURNALISM and moving her away to a less distracting background. Same old crap...the media (as I've called them before) are Renfields. If you don't know the term......Wiki Entry on Renfield. They will do or say whatever they think will please their Master. |

I know the rule of thirds, but didn't think it applied in Video....if you do a quick search on Obama videos, all the staged interviews have him centered. I can't say for sure about the focal point in the video...the Youtube is bad enough I can't tell if the cameraman intentionally widened the focus or focused behind her to get the images in. The slaughter doesn't bother me either. What does bother me is the Media crap that has been going on under the guise of "journalism" for years. AFARR |

I AM blaming her because she should know by now that the MSM is out to get her and should not be giving them ammo like this stuff to use. I'm astounded that so many posters on here just don't get it. If you think that Palin or anyone else can appeal to a majority of the country by allowing videos like this to be released, you are beyond help. Like it or not, there are a LOT of people in the country who may not be PETA types but can be influenced by stuff like this, and if you think that conservatives don't need moderates you must not have been paying attention a couple weeks ago. There's something to be said for standing on your values, but there's also a need to not give your enemies ammo to use against you. The best candidate in the world is no good to anyone if they are so tainted (wrongly or otherwise) that no one believes in them. The current president is a perfect example. |

Very good point. Shame that she has to watch out for stuff like that anyway. Although, I think they can make ANYONE look bad (or good....witness our future POTUS) given enough time. Hell, YOU don't even have to appear on TV.....look at some of the Post Self Defense Shooting videos.....the dead guy's Mom will swear on video that he was a 'good boy', and your neighbors will be on to say "I always wondered why he was such a gun nut".... |

She will be called to task for anything she does...........they literally stay up at night to FIND something wrong with her

The reaction to this video from msm has kept laughing for a good part of the day.
After the character assasignation of Sarah and her family, by the left, and msm. I could undertand and agree with her if she planned it this way so as to go for the response, as a sort of "in your face" kind of way. I know that wasn't the case, but the outcry from msm and the moonbats has certainly been getting attention. Imagine that, going to a small community business, giving them a plug from being there. Getting the freshest, best quality food that you can, and supporting a local business. To the sheep that complain about that, stay the fuck home on Thanksginving, make a tofurkey or some other abbonination and STFU. |

Obama would never hurt a turkey! He only eats the ones that have died of old age.
Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves to find out that people were killing turkeys just to eat them! |
