A couple of years ago, I went to Barnes & Noble bookstore on 71st Street across from Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa and asked if they had a copy of "Unintended Consequences". They looked it up on the computer and said that they did not have it on the shelf but could order it and it would take a couple of days to come in...
I asked them to order it and they asked for my credit card. I told them that I would pre-pay cash for it right there and I was happy to wait, no problem.
I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!!! The girl behind the counter then asked to see my driver's license and said that they needed photo ID to order "These kind of books"
I asked her, what kind of books?
She hemmed and hawed for a minute and said that their computer had "Unintended Consequences" on a list with other books like "The Turner Diaries" and Mein Kampf and that they could order them but they required a credit card and/or photo ID...
I went home without ourdering the book and made myself a new tinfoil hat, no shi'ite.
I later bought the book for cash at a gun show.
