Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pages load but then stall

I am using IE 5 under Mac OS 9. I noticed that the pages load pretty fast but then it stalls as something else loads. My browser is locked up until it finishes. Is there some kind of Java applet loading with every page? I know that with my setup Java applets will stall the browser for a few seconds.

It's the dynamic menus which load last and shouldn't take more than an extra second or two as they are created on the client side.

I'll actually be streamlining the load process a bit more to speed things up, as well as doing work on the servers to take advantage of new code.

Also have same problem and same computer setup.  It seems that dynamic menus are loading each time a page is clicked, but there is something else loading that takes about fifteen seconds per click.
