Pa. GOP sues ACORN, state, for alleged voter fraud

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's Republican Party is suing the community activist group ACORN and the state, alleging there aren't adequate safeguards in place to stop voter registration fraud.

GOP officials say they're filing their lawsuit Friday in state Commonwealth Court.

The lawsuit asks the court to require prospective voters who filed registration applications through ACORN that haven't yet been processed to be required to vote by paper, provisional ballots in the Nov. 4 election.

ACORN is being investigated in other states and nationally by the FBI in connection with alleged voter fraud.

In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ACORN leader Ali Kronley says the group is careful to flag any questionable registration forms but is required by law to turn in any applications that it received.

She says the group has helped 140,000 Pennsylvanians register to vote.

Perhaps they should save themselves some time and look at the SCOTUS ruling (or lack of it)
