My thoughts and prayers are going out to you and your family and friends. Here's to a complete and speedy recovery.
I got no warface yet, but we will see after my Urology appointment Sept. 15th. Elevated PSA numbers at 59, but no real cancer history in the family. Depending on biopsy and diagnosis, you will see a face, just don't know what it will look like. Get well brother. And soon!!!!! |
Did you live a boring life and save it all for retirement? PHUCK CANCER!!!
Get better soon man. I'll be thinking of you.
It's gonna suck but you'll make it. |
Best of luck tomorrow. I've been there, done that, got the scar to prove it. I don't envy you in the least.

Not part of the " club" until this point but damnit, hell yeah.
Kudos good Sir |
Been there done that. Who is doing the liver work? Dr. Clancy at Dana Farber did mine. The dude is a rocket scientist. I shouldn't be alive but am because of him and a protege of his who now works in Concord NH.
Good luck. This stuff sucks but if it's surgically removable it is definitely survivable. Fuck cancer. Flip it the bird and go right on living. |
Prayers and well wishes sent. I found out today my dad has a 7cm renal mass. Waiting for his onocology visit for options.

All of you fighting cancer or loved ones fighting it, I'm pulling for you to slay that dragon.

Are you allowed beer?
I can drive into Boston and have a beer or two with you anytime you want. Let me know (just need to give the wife notice so she can handle the kids). |
Best of luck to you and fuckcancer with a rusty railroad spike. One day they will announce the cure or discover the cures for cancer......

My cancer war face looks a lot like my sex face and, believe me, I don't want to make your night any worse than it already is!
But seriously, good luck and Godspeed brother. Prayers for you and yours! |
As a man sitting in his parents house ,waiting for the last stage of pancreatic cancer to take my mother I say,,,, FIGHT! Don't give in! Never give up! Don't let it win it takes too many good people. This goes for the OP and everyone else in this thread fighting this evil terrible disease. I would stand between my mother and the hounds of hell to protect her. I have never felt so helpless
This was my bride's face of a cancer fighter. Stayed positive. She never gave in. Good days, bad days, she had the faith and confidence to fight on. I'm sure it was a big part of her recovery. She's just as cute and mean as ever...

A speedy recovery.
A BIL was just diagnosed Friday with colon cancer. |
My dad was diagnosed last week with Multiple Myleioma .
Fortunately it is low risk ML but he has some other issues and didn't need this bowling ball thrown into his Jenga tower like medical balance |
It's the same face every morning. Lost a kidney to clear cell cancer in 2000 and proton therapy for prostate in 2013. Glad to be alive.
Sorry no war face. I lost all of my colon back when I was 14. Selfies weren't around then.
Best of luck to you brother. Email me if you have issues |
Thanks for posting, it reminds all of us how important good health is.
I wish you well in your fight. (personally for me, I help fight cancer by donating platelets at the City of Hope, Durate, CA people who need bone morrow transplants.) |
All the best in your fight.Your in one of the best places in the world to battle this.
Found a lump in my left nut 5 years ago. Large B cell lymphoma. Just did whatever the Cancer docs told me to do. 4 1/2 years out since chemo ended. All good so far. |
I wish you the best.
This week I have to go in for surgical removal of some tissue near the brain, in the sinuses. I hope the biopsy is good. Earlier this year, they took out a tumor up there, and after radiation and some chemo., things were sort of getting back to normal. I don't want to go through this nonsense again. Of course, PET scan showed some abnormalities in the prostate, so they want me to see a urologist. I hope for nothing more than enlargement of the gland. BTW, my bill so far this year, about $800,000 and counting. My insurance co., can't be happy. |

Well the colon resection went perfectly, no need for a bag.
The liver surgery was aborted because the masses were larger that the doctor expected and one was too close to an artery to safely ablate it laparoscopically. So I'll need another surgery where the actually open me up. Thanks for all the support my friends! |
Rough night, a couple of 20-30 minute car naps between nurses waking me up for whatever, and my roommates snoring. They just gave me 10mg of Oxy, waiting for it to kick in. Did a lap around the floor this morning, and hoping I can get some solid food today. I haven't been eaten solids since Saturday night, and that was just chicken noodle soup.
are they going to try chemo to shrink the mass before taking it out?
