Do you know what your problem is?

You didn't know that this masterpiece of the 70's was actually 16 minutes long, and frankly, quite brilliant.

Here's how I'm going to help you. Watch/listen to both videos, take a few minutes to let it soak in, and then come back and thank me for making your day that much better.

In other news, a 1970's band announced it would discontinue shipments of rare earth minerals to the United States. Ronco announced they would immediately stop production of the Greatest Hits LP's until supplies resumed. The Disco community is particularly concerned. And now, the weather...

I don't have all their stuff, but what I have and from what I remember of their stuff in the '70's is they ALWAYS sounded spot on, never missed a beat. I don't remember thinking once that somebody in the band was "fucked up" when they did the recording, even live.

Rare Earth is one of my "oldies" favorites.

Before this song and the group became "mainstream," I used to listen to it on KPFC Pasadena Calif, the alternative rock station in the Los Angeles/South Calif area. They used have to a female disc jockey with a real sultry voice before it became fashionable to have female DJs. Boy I sure miss "the good old days."

I think I still have the LP somewhere at my mom's house.

I've been trying to figure out which song Broken Bells ripped off for the hook in their song The High Road.  I knew I had heard it, and jsut couldn't remember where.
