Some peeps take the dicussions about certain things way too serious and personal. Whenever someone states brand "X" is the best...its on. This goes for type of firearms, vehicles, etc. Even lifestyles get dragged in, LEOs, religions, race, etc. As mirrored in real life, some friction is bound to be created. Given that, we should know when to back off and respect(not agree)with other views. A discussion should not lead to an argument. I would expect an E-mail if I was out of line(from a mod)and accept it. I do like the way we seem to stick together when the chips are down. Long live AR15.com!

The great thing to me for the most part is the fact that discussions can get heated and passionate (before the spamming) and yet most members will respect each others views and opinions.

To be blunt, I am what you call "anti-religion." Not atheist, I feel that's not strong enough. BUT, I respect the views and beliefs of others and I argue with people all the time. I never say things to be mean or hurtful and I keep an open mind on things, but when I argue, I am aggressive.

We've got a great mix of thinkers in here and respecting each other is what it's all about. That's why the rules set forth for the board are all geared towards things of that nature. I don't want to hamper anyone's though or discussion, but I do want to control how people treat and act towards each other to encourage a place where you can post one extreme to have it argued by another extreme and keep it civil.

Crap, without arguing, how the hell are we supposed to learn? Question everything and keep an open mind...
