I'm thinking if I had to drive around in a Ferguson type scenario a nice 7 inch barreled PDW may do the trick. Easy to conceal and deploy.
ARFCOM?

I think the idea is to not be a hero and stay turtled up and protect your turf, not go vigilante and confrontational.

Sometimes you need a flamethrower - 7.5" 7.62x39 with muzzle brake and UCIW stock:

Sometimes you need a SAW:

Job applications.  You can conceal them, fold them, and pack them everywhere.  Does not get old or have any functional issues or legal issues.

Some people have to go to work, no matter what is happening.

I have several PDW options.  I'd probably go with a suppressed AR SBR or the Galil Mini that I hope to buy next year.

The only reason I would be driving into a Ferguson scenario is to retrieve family or friends.  I would try to be as discreet as possible.  If I need anything more than my XD things have gone badly pear shaped.

To indulge your fantasy though....SBR with a suppressor.  Probably two or three friends with the same.

Then carry out the plan of the day, instead of rustling my skittles. I'm off today. It's shitty outside and I have the house to myself. I'm done fappin I started drinking and I want to see PDW options. Sheesh....

Something that you can fire one handed easily and sustain fire without reloading.  Having a free hand while driving, leading a family member to safety, or calling in an airstrike is invaluable.  Terminal ballistics is less of a concern in this particular scenario IMHO.  I frankly don't give a shit how hard I hit 'em.  More worried about the quantity of my squeezes than the quality of my thrusts against a mob.

I'm going to swing for the derp fences and argue a PS90 SBR.  I'd imagine you could sort out quite a few problems before you emptied a 50 round magazine.
