Losing once to a guy who can barely string together complete sentences wasn't enough?

Quoted: Since 4 years obviously wasn't enough for the RINOs to get the message, then MAGA just needs to keep on doing what it's doing. The Republican Party needs a purge, but it's not gonna be the MAGA wing that hits the door. You don't beat the Democrats by pretending to be a Dem-Lite and winning a few wishy-washy middle morons. You win by getting the blue collar vote. Trump knows this. If we ever have fair elections again (that's a big if), that is the *only* way that the Republicans will ever win again, because the MAGA wing won't show up for another Romney-esque candidate again. View Quote You're goddamned right. |

I haven't even finished page 1 and it's amazing the amount of Super Conservatives ™ that think the most powerful Republican wanting to support America First Congresscritters is a bad thing.

Given the dearth of leadership and meager messaging from the GOP, he is.
He is an he will continue to be until such time that the GOP at a federal level actually decides to stand for something succinctly and distinctly different from the competition. Democrats have no issues defining themselves so, nor does Trump. That is their appeal, and that is why they preserve. The GOP has a very short amount of time to make some very sizable changes if they don't wish to become the party of Trump. |

More GOP drama. Yay. Crap like this is why I bailed. I liked everything he did, I just didn't like him.
So can he be the GOP leader? Sure. Remember that Rush Limbaugh was the titular head of the party after Obama won. And we're in almost as bad shape now. Maybe I'll have the opportunity to vote for him yet again, but, blegh. Because if the GOP puts a total RINO forward, I really will vote Libertarian. |

Quoted: The rubes will line up to keep getting fleeced by Trump. View Quote This X10000000000000. I'm sure the closing message will be "We need your help to stop the Commie Dems and RINO Repubs. Act now, supplies are running out." Ben Sasse wasn't wrong when he said "Politics is not about the weird worship of one dude" and "Personality cults aren't conservative". |

Remember those people that showed up and put their asses on the line for him?
Remember how he vanished and quietly watched them get hunted down and buried under a mountain of bullshit charges? I think I'll pass. He may be able to cause some chaos but the GOP isn't salvagable. |

The GOP needs to run Wayne. He’s got the wardrobe and can do attitude for the job.

Quoted: Hopefully this is bullshit. Declaring yourself the leader of anything is stupid unless you have the power to enforce it. It would only make him look weak. Actions speak much louder than words. Act like the leader and organize an insurgency designed to burn out swamp rats. That's what needs to happen. View Quote Reading the whole story sounds like he is starting a local/state level ground fundraising game. An underlying movement of his base supporters to help vet MAGA candidates. MAGA candidates have to prove they have ground game support structure before theyll get endorsements and money. The idea itself is sorely needed in the Republican party. If the resulting candidates can grow beyond Trump it's exactly what we need. If it turns into a place for Trump to soak up adulation and money while taking up all the air in the room it'll eventually be a disaster. Trump's America first MAGA ideals was a pivot for the party to regain relevance on many different issues. Trump himself is really his own worst enemy. |

Good.
Fuck 'em up! The GOP is dead and its corpse needs to be dragged out of government ASAP. |

Quoted: Former president Donald Trump will claim he is the leader of the Republican party and its "presumptive 2024 nominee" when he makes his first public appearance since leaving office during the Conservative Political Action Conference next weekend in Orlando, according to a report. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/327183/4C822485-A978-41C1-ABA1-52D5C5110B60_jpe-1837417.JPG A longtime Trump adviser told Axios his CPAC speech will be a "show of force," and said the message will be: "I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I'm still in charge." The source reportedly added that "payback is his chief obsession." According to Axios, Trump is expected to go after the 10 House Republicans who voted to convict him in his impeachment trial, spurred by the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, and the seven GOP Senators who voted with Democrats to convict. Quoted: Quoted: The rubes will line up to keep getting fleeced by Trump. Crack is a hell of a drug. Evidently it’s nowhere near as addictive and damaging as the belief that Trump is going to swing back into action and rescue the country after the witch hunt that he and anyone near to him in his cabinet and party went through - and are still going through. Literally “stamping out Trumpism” - you don’t come back from that. Not in any way we’re ... familiar with ... here in the US. |

I hope he doesn’t run again. I think he would be better off backing an America First candidate in ‘24 and seeking revenge in the house and senate for ‘22.
The party needs to be purged of establishment hacks. |

His approval amongst Republicans is 80%, somewhere between 50-70% of those are more loyal to him then to Republican party. No shit he is the presumptive 2024 nominee. If he can spend these 4 years building an organized coherent movement, with vetted people on each level of the organization, he will win. That will give him ability to run a disciplined campaign (as much as he can, of course) and have vetted cadres to staff political appointee positions at every level.
I hope he can do it. He is a fantastic communicator and influencer, but he needs to forget how he ran Trump.org with a handful of handpicked deputes. That will not work in Washington, you need to have a deep bench. |

Trump isn't even really a Republican, which is a good thing, and he has far more support and influence than any feckless moron that the GOP would field.
Even if he ultimately doesn't decide run for President, he can hopefully push the party to nut up, start actually representing the people on the right, and stop pandering to groups that hate them/us anyway. The majority of the national GOP acts like a battered spouse. And they seem to like that role... |

They are all OK with big spending, a certain level of socialism and some gun control. It would be nice if there were some actual conservatives on the national stage that the msm would deem viable, but they won’t let that happen. So the controlled masses continue to pick their poison. |

So let's see.....You have Trump, Haley, and Cruz that all think that they are "front runners"......Either self-declared or by their fan-boys.
My thought is that come the morning of 11/9/2022 there is going to be a whole lot of re-thinking of their positions when the gop gets slaughtered in the mid-terms due to a willful lack of participation. Of course folks can change their minds between now and then but I know a lot of good right thinking people that, like myself, won't participate in the whole farce going forward. There is no stopping what is coming so I figure I may as well help things along just a bit. |

Donald Trump’s proclaimed vision for America notwithstanding, he’s been the best thing ever for radical progressivism in America.
