I haven't a problem with a little paranoia....a tin hat ready to use, spreading "the" word (as you see it), ect.
That being said...the guy I overheard seemed pretty unstable. Who on ARF has ever heard of C.R.E.S.T. (Constituional Rights Enforcement and Support Team)? I did a basic Google, but many here have more web-fu than I. ETA:Spelling nazi! I stand korected. |

I think I almost dated her once. |

Do they call themselves a "malitia"? If so, they're quite uneducated.
When I clicked the thread those were my exact words. |

We have been through this before and we decided it was probably a drink of some kind with a little umbrella in it. |

If I sign up with CREST do I get a tin plated helmet to battle the blue helmets with? I bet they have outstanding oral hygene.
It's like a militia, but EVIL. |
The C.R.E.S.T. will rise up against police brutality and give the police or the national guard a taste of their own medicine if they tread on the civilian population and they will be given the same measure that they dish out
They sound really educamated. |
According to the ADL, they are a terrorist organization.
I have a feeling about one thing, tc556guy will be wrong and when he and his buddies start to confiscate, a lot of them are going to be eating a bullet. And yes, you guys should fear the citizens, because at least some WILL put their lives up for their Rights. (Well, maybe not the deer and duck hunters, but you will see open warfare come to pass) Will you put yours up to take others Rights away? Just asking. www.adl.org/extremism/Militia/Coordination.asp?m_flipmode=6

Think there was a run on tinfoil and he was out burying some in sealed PVC tubes in his backyard.
Hate to break it to you Helobravo but the vast majority of people here are a part of the unorganized milita.
CREST is running a bit tinfoil heavy. |
Are there any DUES?
Do we get a free CREST poloshirt? Do we get a sticker for our car? |

wonder if any of their members can see their toes? Also, is standard loadout an SKS with 60 rounds and shelter-half?
That's quit a sarcstic, trolling type statement..I'm sure you are a commander or something important like that in your militia. I would hope you wouldn't be seen in the vicinity of a yahoo like this guy. Thank you for the cut and paste....feel free to bring something of intrest to the thread. |

Damn, I was hoping to lease that secret fortress for Psychopoliticians use. |
I knew an unorganized Matilda once. She was pretty cool, but a bit flakey.
I beg your pardon for attempting to bring you a small bit education. I fail to see how information is trolling. No, I am not a part of CREST no any other oganized militia group. I do, however, fall within the bounds of the unorganized milita by virtue of my age, sex and non-military career. |

He told me he has been pretty busy lately. Your right though, would be nice to get him here. -Ben |

Well, I have no copies, links, etc to prove this, but I'll tell ya anyway...
Coupla years ago when I (mistakenly) got involved with Ranch Rescue somehow a guy involved with CREST sent me their 'mission statement' for lack of a better term. I deleted that damn thing quicker than a Kennedy can get out of a submerged vehicle. I can't remember the exact quotes, or even get close. But it absolutely was something that I did not want to be associated with, or want in my computer. During the time of Ranch Rescue's...uhh...'legal problems' there was quite a bit of discussion on the militia boards regarding CREST. IIRC, the CREST grand pubah was banned. IIRC, STRAT was there. Anyway, absent cold hard facts I will tell you, from one ARFCOMer to another: proceed with caution. I'll see what I have still as related to the CREST. Hopefully, nothing. |
Just remembered, he (CREST) was trying to recruit folks, then there was some deal about people receiving tons of emials - or he gave out their email addresses...something whacko like that.
I think they had a Yahoo group. ETA: www.geocities.com/mikearion/crest.html |

The media will make it look like they are doing much more then they are. Think of it like the insurgency in Iraq, only this time the insurgents are trained formerly by the US (insert branch here). -Ben |

Did you read the original? Man, all I could think of was 'holyfuckingshit, this is in my email!' |

I hate to say it this way but anything that Lippo supports so strongly I tend to run away from.
Tinfoil whack jobs is giving them too much credit, but I bet that after that last laugh fest on here they at least got the cammies to match patterns. |

No, but I do! |
